Kettle Sand

The capacity is quite small, and when you fill it to the maximum line, the kettle shakes a lot while boiling. That’s not something you’d expect from a $250 kettle. Also, there’s a plastic component near the handle that comes into contact with the stream. It gives the impression that the kettle is completely plastic-free, which was one of the main reasons I bought it in the first place.

Beautiful kettle with a thoughtful design. It boils water incredibly fast. I love that the interior is entirely stainless steel. It's a little louder than I expected, but that's a minor thing. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the kettle and would definitely recommend it!

I really am glad I have the Aarke kettle. It is nice to look at and it does what it is supposed to pretty quickly. I wish there were no plastic parts, and was not aware of plstic under the lid until after I bought it. That being said, I like it a lot. The temperature degrees are hard to read for someone with middle aged eye sight, but that is fine once you pretty much know what they are. I wish the temperatures lined up with the recommended temps for brewing the different things, like 205 for pour over, and the ideal temps for green or white teas. But it is the nicest looking larger capacity kettle I have found, and also does not have as large a foot print because of the shape. I also have overboiled so many stove kettles that at this point I needed to just go electric.
