Lancer Gen IV Series Rods

Awesome rod!

My first experience using my new Lancer Gen IV Series rod was in a Angler's Choice Bass Tournament. I was using this rod to fish wacky worms for pre spawn bass cruising the shallows. The rod is so light weight that my arm had zero fatigue and the action and backbone on the rod allowed me to feel the most subtle bights and yet have enough backbone in the rod to get a solid hook set.

Best bang for your dollar!

For the budget minded angler, I have the 6’10” ML spinning rod (Gen IV) and this rod has technique specific action for a dropshot but versatility for a ned/tube/shaky head/light jighead minnow presentations. Compared to other price point rods and brands, this is extremely light and great sensitivity, all keys to a good drop shot rod. The matte grey is a nice finishing touch as well.

Very nice rod

I took my Lancer Gen IV 7' MH XF spinning rod out for the first time on 4/24 and landed a donkey of a river largemouth. I was throwing the Achigan Brand “Munchee,” a silicone fluke-style bait, nose-hooked on a 4/0 VMC finesse hook. The extra-fast action made it easy to detect the bite and still gave me enough backbone to drive the hook home. This rod feels dialed in for larger fluke-style baits and heavier finesse bottom presentations. Overall, it’s lightweight, sensitive, and the action is spot on.
