It's an ingenious device; however, I have a tender (callous) area on the lateral aspect of my foot. It's from my ice skate playing hockey. Unfortunately, it happens to coincide with the location of the stabilizer, i.e., when wearing the device. So, when I wear the device inside a shoe, the stabilizer presses on that spot. Unless I can solve this problem, it looks as though I may not be able to wear the betterguard. The Lite is less invasive but it still conflicts.

Went from using the "stirrup" ankle brace to the BetterGuard Lite, and have had a huge improvement- the BGL fits in my work boots as well as my sneakers and has made it so that I have the functional stability needed to navigate difficult terrain with out having to worry about rolling my foot suddenly from turning too quickly, or stepping "blindly" down a step. Structured support where I need it, without the excess compression where I don't.
