I profiled the Nicaragua Yellow Catuai from El Quetzal Coffee as a dark roast, even though it was recommended for a medium profile, and I am glad I trusted my instincts. The darker roast brings out a bold, rich flavor with excellent body, smooth depth, and the kind of strong, satisfying character I want in a dark coffee. Good for espresso and pour over.

I've enjoyed this for lattes and pour overs by itself and blended with other coffees. Best Nicaraguan coffee I've tried to date.
