Great for my California Common
I made a small 1.5 Liter starter with this packet (just to be sure), since it was about 5 weeks old. Fermented at about 62 degrees F. for 3 weeks total before kegging (could have kegged at least a few days earlier even). The beer is really good, spot on with what I intended.

Cablecar Impresses
I pitched directly - no starter - into a 6.5 gallon batch of California Common with an OG of 1.056, and fermented at 54 degrees for 2 weeks. It was slow and steady. I upped the temp to 64 degrees for another week, and was within a point of the target FG. My initial taste test was positive - no terrible esters or off flavors. Other Imperial ale yeasts take right off within a day; this strain acts more like a lager when treated like a lager, so your patience will be rewarded.

Always Consistent
I’ve never had a bad brew with Imperial Yeast. Remarkably consistent.
