Vermillion Snapper Imposter Jig

I am still two (2) months out from my upcoming trip to the Gulf to utilize these Imposter jigs, BUT, I have taken them to a local lake to get the "ferl" for them and fine tuning the gear I'll be utilizing them with. Now, I'm no "Pro" or "Expert" when it comes to slow fall jigging by any means, BUT, one issue I was having with them, we're the "Assist" hooks! From the 150g to the 300g, the rigged hooks that came with them attached, are simply frustrating to be honest. I think the "size" of the hooks themselves will be just fine, but the length of the "cords" allows the hooks to catch and tangle with each other both during the drop, and/or while jigging. Like I said, I was just testing things out, but on virtually every single retrieval, the hooks would be tangled when I lift the Imposter and the Widomaker jigs out of the water. If ya'll could/would maybe offer a solution, Id be most appreciative! Otherwise, a great product that I can only hope will be productive! Thanks

Won't have opportunity to fish these until mid July in the Gulf, but I've no doubt they're gonna create some rod bendin, line stretchin, drag screamin, fish catchin FUN. Impressive product!

Put it in the hands of a customer for the first time this week and it produced! Excellent hook set, looks great in the water!
