Saddle Suspenders

Disappointed

I like Hang free a lot but I had to give this a bad review. I carry a line man’s rope gloves and tether in my saddles bags. When I climb I attach the platform and sticks. I used to have a saddle with built in suspenders that were non elastic and held everything firmly. My new saddle doesn’t so I got this. The majority of the traps used are elastic and their for as soon as I put the saddle on the elastic stretches a ton and barely puts any weight on my shoulders. I took the belt of my saddle off, just holding it up by my suspenders and the saddle dropped 6 to 8 inches. I’m 6’2 and tightened the straps but it didn’t do much. I’m also sure that as I wear it the elastic will stretch more. The idea here is great and if they were non stretch straps this would be perfect. If somehow after a few hunts this isn’t a problem I will return to this review and attempt to change it.

Suspenders

I use a backpack, and a bino harness. I needed something to hold up my saddle and not be too bulky. These suspenders did not add bulk and it was universal with my mismatched setup.

I wanted to give it 4 stars, but

I wanted to give this 4 stars, but my complaint is not really hang frees fault. I’m a shorter guy (5’4”) so I have to run the adjustments all the way to where it connects to the back. Because of this I couldn’t utilize the chest clip, but I’m ok with that. Outside of that it’s amazing quality on material and how it was made. It does the job keeping the saddle and accessories I have on it suspended onto the shoulders instead of my waist and that makes a huge difference for hiking in. Relaxing the leg straps and belt buckle while hiking is a game changer. Thanks Hang Free for an amazing product. Try to favor the shorter people though lol.
