Still not quite decided if these are a success or not. They were quite expensive so wondering if I feel ripped off or not. The fact that you actually have tonwarm them vy running hot water in them before use to keep food warm is not publicized. So being out at your bbqyou then ahve to run insode stand for 10 minites with hot water running. Tip it out - waste of water - and then you can put your food in. Then dows it keep it hot. Well jury is still out. my hisband cooked the fries much earlier than the rest of food so I did the whole orocess and yes. They were kept warm enough till we started the meal. But didn't make it much past that for any left. Ised the glass dish to mKe nachos. Put the hot glassdish in to the insulating bowl - put the lid on it. There was so much condensation on the lid that when I lifted it off liquid felt into the food as well as formed on top of the nachos. So not so crispy hot tortilla chips. Sort of soggy. So in terms of this being a simple great shove food in and keep it warm. The answer is no. But can it do the job with some effort and mess? YEs I guess. Still trialling different food situations. But currently the jury is still out and not a slam dunk.
