Confusing install but works great

The installation instructions are far too comprehensive *and* missing helpful tips/information. I had questions and it took more than one business day for someone to get back to me. I ended up figuring it out on my own. Once operational the door has performed flawlessly and I'm super happy with it. I have the solar option and it stays fully charged even on cloudy days. Fun fact, if using solar option there is a switch for a conventional power cord and plug... make sure this is in the "OFF" position otherwise it will not hold a charge and operate after the sun has set (it's very easy to push this button and if you don't know to do this or lookout for it you'll run into the problem i did -- I could not find this info anywhere in the dozens of pdfs on the website, nor is it on any of the videos). I use this for my khaki campbell ducks and it took about a week of training and haven't had any issues since (about a month). Also, keep in mind the terms used to describe the wire are confusing - especially if you're not an electrician - coop tender could do a better job with descriptions, instructions, and response time, but the product is great.

Took a long time to get the door but I love it. I find the day light setting is too hard to figure out so I use the time setting. It’s reliable, but expensive.

Great company and product. Well made and solar panel works great. Using the larger size for our dual breed birds. I definitely recommend these doors!
