Overall I like this pattern. It does not go together as easily as it looks unless you alter the directions a little.The pieces (1,2,3,and 4) get shaped and glued together to form the helmet. The problem is you are cutting at a 90 degree angle but when gluing together you really want them to be more like a 45 degree angle so that you don’t get gaps. I wish I could include pix. If you are able to cut at an angle it goes together much better. Also I bought a 3.9” (99mm) foam ball to use as a mold. It was the perfect size to stand in for the doll’s head.

Great pattern

Have not made helmet yet, soon. But I used pattern to make hockey sticks and pucks out of wood. Cut them out on scroll saw, then painted pucks black and glued craft foam on handles. Granddaughter taped the end, just like her stick, soon after she opened the gift.
