Seam guide ruler and magnetic seam guide

I like to sew with an open toes foot and the foot is wider than 1/4". Therein lies the problem. When I use the seam guide ruler to get the perfect allowance for the seam, the guide doesn't work. I tried using the magnetic guide before the foot, but it's over the bobbin area and I'm constantly having to replace the guide. It is not ideal. Maybe it would be if I used another foot.

Love the seam guide ruler and the free magnetic seam guide! So helpful keeping my fabric in place as I sew.

Works as stated- I guess

I have been sewing for 45 years, quilting for 20+ and anything that can help with accurate seams is Godsend. This will help you at the moment when the fabric meets the needle but I much prefer using layers of painters tape laid down at the correct measurement to give me a long runway to the needle. It’s much harder to accidentally turn your fabric. That said, it does work as described. ( I had to change my needle position in order for my foot to clear the magnet. )
