Fast, private, local voice control for Home Assistant - and it works in Indonesian

Surprisingly good
I had already built a similar Home Assistant Satellite device using a Raspberry Pi and an external speaker-microphone combination. However, I thought it would be good to check out this pre-built ESP32 version. It has a bunch of nice touches; for example a spinning LED light when the wake word is detected, a touch control for volume, and a neat mute switch. Despite its small size, the speaker is remarkably capable. It's not good for streaming music obviously, but it's fine for audio responses. The microphone sensitivty is a little limited, so I had to get used to getting quite close to the device before the wakeword was recognized. But despite this, I'm still willing to give it 5 stars because of the intuitive simplicity of operation, the ease of integration with Home Assistant and the price point.

Trueley Private Voice Assistant
This is a great product, and I am glad to support it so that hopefully the software gets better. I would rate the native nabu assist a 3, but if you run a local llm instance to give it a bit more power (I ran one on a RTX 3060 12GB) it works very well. AI is this worst it will ever be right now, and in a time where companies are increasingly doing everything they can to spy on us I can't recommend this local option enough. Plus Ameridroid is selling it for the cheapest I've found.
