We originally had a brick, traditional wood burning fireplace. I was sick of the look and needed a change!! Not to mention how much work a wood burning fireplace is. Who wants to chop wood in the freezing cold, stoke a fire while relaxing and watching a Christmas movie?! My husband built around the brick and completely remodeled our fireplace. The Touchstone Recessed 40 inch 80006 Forte makes it look so modern and love the fact that I can have the fire “burning” without the heat. It makes my living room sooooo cozy!!

Placed this into my existing wood fireplace. Needed to provide wooden frame, but now looks built in. Used river rocks instead of provided stones for a more natural look! Love it Great alternative to more expensive gas insert!
