Melbourne Tool Company Low Angle Jack Plane

I really wish that I didn’t have to consider all of the geopolitical concerns about making a purchase of a tool of this caliber, but I did, and made this purchase anyway. The reason for me doing so is the prior purchase of MTC’s spokeshave set that I really like. I have a LN block plane, a Jorgensen apron plane that is fantastic for the price and wanted a jack plane for a shooting board that I recently made. The MTC jack plane checked all the boxes when I was doing some research and made the purchase. So glad I did because a few days later they increased its price. I received it within a few days and did a recommended deburring of the edges on the tool, sharpened the blade and tested it on some cedar, pine and white oak. I haven’t tried it on my shooting board yet, but I’m sure it will do fine for what I need it to do.
