Excellent product – brill convenient method connecting to the Mercedes W205 Rain Sensor. Fiddly part – removing the Sensor Cover and Rear Mirror cover ring without damaging. Connecting the Y Cable and finishing installation a doddle. Again – refitting the cover and ring also a tad fiddly, do not force the tabs – patience! The amount of cable showing is okay personally, not into messing with the roof lining to hide them. However, a suggestion for a tidier setup, given the 'close mounted’ setup of adapter and cam as in the pics – a set of 50m cables for a few extra €s? Did not connect the rear cam, same wiring reason, however, it did prompt a rear camera solution: Connect a similar adapter to a rear lights cluster, then a short cable run to the top of the rear window. With current tech a WiFi connection to the Front Cam and/or Phone must be possible. Cheers to all at FitDVR!

Short cut

Installing a Dash-cam can be a abit of task if waanting to keep the necessary wiring out of site. So I decided to research other methods rather than use my cigatette socket or wiring direct from the fuse box. As a result, I discovered this power adapter which allowed me to connect to the power in the REAR VIEW MIRROR. Having made sure to order the one for my car model (most essential) when it arrived, I installed my dash cam in 15 minutes! A very straight forward and easy job to do. Thank you. Regards, N.T.
