Dongar Classic

Works great.

I wanted this because my dashcam would come unstuck from the windshield and pull out a lot of the wire connected to it, besides using up the USB port on the dash. My truck, a 2020 Titan, wasn’t on the list of compatible vehicles. I contacted customer service and sent them a picture of the connection. They got back to me with the answer within a few hours. It works perfectly. It was easy to hook up, only taking a few minutes.

I've not installed my Dongar on my2026 Mazda CX-50 PP because I'm unwilling to try to force the housing off of the BrightLights/Rain Sensor assembly. I do not want to force anything that might break and reveal my mod. I've seen YouTube vids on the subject, but for older models of cars that do not apply to my 2026. This isn't to say I won't ever try it, but will need more patience than I've had lately. The Dongar unit looks well-engineered and I'm confident that when I am able to mount it to power my Rove 4K, everything will go smoothly.

So easy, 2 screws holding the map light cover on (2024 Subaru Outback Touring XT), put the Dongar in line with the old connector, plug in the USB and hide the wires. It would have been a five minute job but I couldn’t find the correct connector, there’s a bunch in that area! Saved a ton of time over a standard hard wire kit.
