2007 Xiang Yi "Hei Cha Zhuan" Hunan Brick Tea

Similar to a ripe pu'erh but different enough it’s worth the experience!

This tea is close enough to a ripe pu'erh tea that if you are a fan of ripe pu'erh you will enjoy this, but it is different enough from any ripe pu'erh (that I've tried) that it is worth trying this for the experience. Very tightly compressed cake takes a couple of washes and a couple of steeps to separate the leaves enough to get the full flavor. As far as taste goes, imagine the most pleasant parts of ripe pu-erh with red wine, fruit, caramel and dark chocolate flavors on top.

This is my first Hei Cha of this type. I I enjoy the fruity flavor & smoky, earthy aroma.

Amazing, The tea has it all excellent choice and a great value for the money!
