The Mariage Freres Wedding Imperiial Tea is a wonderful sipping pleasure. One of my guests described the fragrance perfectly as “smokey icing on a wedding cake.”

Opened the box and tea was everywhere. Created quite a mess.

I enjoy Mariage Freres teas and have several favorites. My afternoon tea to enjoy is Earl Gray French Blue, but decided to try Wedding Imperial Tea. While this is a more flavored tea than I normally drink I very much enjoyed it for an afternoon tea. For me it doesn't work as a morning tea, but it is a beautiful late afternoon tea or evening tea -- delicate flavor and sweetness, but not too sweet to be cloying. It has me going back for one more sip. Will definitely purchase again.
