RETURN of the Best Hunting Boot Ever

From 2017 to 2025, I wore the previous version of this boot, the Rebel K GTX, that Scarpa made and co-branded with Kuiu, and I thought it was the ultimate boot for Western backcountry elk, deer, and sheep hunts. I was gutted when those originals finally wore out, but elated after Scarpa released this new edition last spring. These are every bit as good as the original, with a few small improvements. The foot box is a bit roomier, so I can now fit a cushier insole, and these are overall a touch lighter. It seems like the ankle cuff might be a little less beefy, too, which is great for additional mobility but still provides plenty of support. I only have two 10-mile days out in them so far, but they are as comfortable as the originals, with the boots causing zero rubbing or blisters on my feet out of the box. These are plenty sturdy for tough sidehills and rugged scree slopes, but still lightweight enough for long weeks in the backcountry. I anticipate years of hard mountain hunts ahead in these boots. I sized up a half size from my standard, and it�s a perfect fit.

Item too small.

I upsized half size as recommended but the boot was still too small. Will upsize a full size once back in stock. Workmanship is top notch as expected. Returned the item by Canada Post, received by NRI, pending refund.

Rebel 8 HD Silviculture Forester

I've only worn these out twice but so far they are awesome! Its been really difficult to find appropriate boots for field work that fit for women and have enough ankle support. I am typically a size 8 US, and I purchased sized 39.5. If I were to purchase again I would get a size 40 to accommodate my thick socks. Thanks SCARPA!
