lost one side of rein dot twenty minutes after riding around the ring

The rein dots were fastened tightly. One side came off almost at once.. I’ve put loktite on the other one, but not much use to only have them on one rein only. Any suggestions?

These are amazing. Bought 2 pairs and they are comfortable and perfect size.

I didn't know how easy the dots get loosened so I lost one of a pair. At $30 a pair it gets expensive to keep replacing them.
