This machine is beautifully designed. But some of the pieces are not good quality for a considered great to high performance equipment as GreenPan. The lid were you pour the mix, the trapping dish and the handel are very cheep plastic. These pieces are more like toy kitchen accessories for kids. Sad to say. The handle once you attach it, is loose not sturdy at all and the ring where you put the cones in is very thin and seems to break easily. The overall design and idea is great and the machine is relatively quiet and works pretty fast. I tried making the soft serve in L4 like suggested in handbook but the consistency was more of a milk shake and not soft serve. I believe this is more a matter of tweaking with it to make it work for each recipe. Knowing this I am not sure if I would have purchased this machine as there are other options that seem to have better parts and worth your investment.
