New Hydra V2

Just got the rod before trip to Colorado. Excellent casting rod and liked the ability to fish at different lengths. Caught several fish in the 12” to 16” range and the rod was great!

A lot to love with the Hydrav2

The Hydra is my third DragonTail rod and I love fishing with it. Both the extra length and the overall stiffness, compared to the Mizuchi, make it fun to fish with.

Hydra V2

Just took a three day trip to Wyoming with my new Hydra V2. I think I have a new favorite Rod. It was nice to be able to transition quickly to different lengths and the casting action was excellent. Easily able to use extra long lines on big water and go to shorter lines in tight quarters. Did not catch any large fish, mostly 12 and 13 inch specimens but it handled them nicely even in spring runoff current.
