OPENROAD 270 Free Standing Awning for Camping-Trail Series

Received my awning two weeks before a week long camping trip with family. My bronco doesn't have cross bars that worked with the provided mounting kit and I planned poorly ordering ahead of time. Openroad sent me a mounting kit that wouldn't arrive in time for my trip, so they offered to reimburse me for what I found in the meantime that would work. I found a mounting bracket on Amazon that worked perfectly and arrived just days before my trip. I was able to install and test out before my trip. I love the awning and the set up and break down is so easy. And it's solid. It was the talk of the family camping trip. I'm not even interested in getting reimbursed by openroad, but the fact they were willing to so I didn't have to miss out on using this on my camping trip was top tier customer service. I'm already making a list of other openroad products I'm gonna need for my next camping trip.

The rating is not on the product itself, but rather from the distrust that was built up. As the product was out of stock (there was no prior communication about the delay). When i reached out they mentioned the product being out of stock, then offered me an upgrade to the premium black version, which i accepted on the same day. When i received the product it was still the grey version. I then reached out to find out more about it ans they basically told me they couldn’t update the system on time to get it correct. So i asked for a return label to send the grey one back in and get the black version and was denied. They also offered me a store credit which can barely get anythjng from their store that is useful for me. Overall experience bad due to slow responsiveness and distrust built up.

This awning is fantastic!! The quality of this awning far exceeds my initial expectations for the price point. It sets up so easily, it's way more sturdy than I expected, and it looks fantastic on my trailer. It is much nicer than the little square ARB awning that my Buddy purchased for more than I spent on this one. Thank you for making a product like this at an affordable price without compromising usability.
