The Grandmaster Chess Set Combo

Best. Chess set. Ever.

My wife and I waited for a little over a month to get this set (we were waiting on the specific board to be re-stocked) and just received this set about 5 days ago. It arrived in perfect condition and we have already put many many hours of play into it! We got the mahogany board with coordinates which is absolutely gorgeous for the money. The pieces are absolutely amazing. We bought this set specifically because the knight looks like a scared Kuzco from Emporer's New Groove! Aside from that comic detail, the pieces are perfectly weighted and are quite large! Together with the board you have a functional piece of art in your living room. Price / Quality ratio is a 10 out of 10. This was 100% worth the wait! Customer service with Paul was also top notch and we will totally be willing to make future purchases with chess house.

I had been wanting to upgrade my chess set to something that was going to last. This is that chess set. It looks and feels amazing and I know it’s going to last a lifetime.

I had some trouble with the order process where it was not clear that the "order in x hours and get it by date y" condition that I was depending on (for a birthday gift) had gone away. When the order completed email arrived it was for a later date that did not work. I think this had something to do with the handoff to Shop. After a phone conversation with Chess House (email just offered an expedited delivery for more money) the delivery fee was waived and all went great. Gift was a big hit. Thanks to Chess House!
