I'm a knitter and a novice crocheter. Most yarn artists can relate to having a pile of WIPs (Work in Progress). The Textiles Friend, first of all, compelled me to find all the half-made blankets, pairs of slippers with only one slipper, amigurumis with no appendages, and other items I have started, and secondly, I can keep a record of what I have on the go in easy-to-use tables and graphs. Love it.
