Helen Classics - Grey

I love Mephisto’s Helen shoes. This must be my 5th pair. I’ve had the silver before. They go with everything in my wardrobe.They are cozy but unlike other colors of Helen, they take some breaking in because they are a little rough on the edges. Can’t wait to wear them out so I can buy another pair! It’s almost too bad they last so long!

Bought these to replace the same pair that after years wore out :( I am sooo very sad. I currently own 3 pairs and have purchased two other pairs for the men in my life. The foot bed is good. Slightly different and stiffer than my actual 10 year old style. The “leather”? strap topper part, nope, nope. The synthetic feel is distressing, its annoying as it will not break in, I am completely bummed. Its summer and now I need to buy a different pair. Another brand merchandise brand that hit the wall during covid. Geesh, I get it, but as a consumer and brand lover, totally bummed.

Love this color, 3rd pair. The leather stretches well, so the break-in period is almost nothing. I've been having foot issues for many years, and these are my "dressy" shoes for vacations.
