FUET

I purchased this product labeled as “fuet,” but unfortunately the experience was not satisfactory. Although it is marketed under that name, it is actually a product made in the United States that does not come close to the traditional profile of authentic fuet. The texture and, especially, the flavor are far from what was expected. It presents notes that I perceived as rancid or unpleasant, which significantly affects the overall experience. Additionally, I was unable to clearly locate a suggested consumption date on the packaging, which raises additional concerns about quality control. My main concern is not only authenticity but also quality: the flavor, with those rancid notes, does not reflect a product that is ideal for consumption. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for genuine fuet or a quality product.
