Simple install, easy esphome install

I had a couple ratgdo devices, but I wanted something with a bit more refinement for my home. I found these to be pretty much perfect. I had to learn esphome (not a downside), but it was extremely smooth sailing once that was up and running. I made the jump because the konnected devices meet the legal requirements for playing a sound and flashing, but I'm also impressed with the ease of install.

Easy install, easy integration, could use better wiring

Awesome upgrade to my old garage door openers! I ran the system through my existing Home Assistant and exported it via a Home Kit Bridge. Now I get push notifications every time the door opens and closes and I can control it quickly from my phone. I docked 1 star because I found the stranded but tinned wires annoying to install alongside the existing wires for the wall button for two reasons: first, the wire wasn't stripped enough so I couldn't get it into the spring loaded wire terminal; and second, the stranded wire was very thinned compared to the solid core wire used by the wall button so inserting them together to fit into the terminal kept causing the konnected wire to fall out because it wasn't getting caught by the spring clamp.

Great device!

It's nice when a device comes out of the package with good instructions, everything you need and it does what it's supposed to. Tech support follow-up was awesome. One caveat - the current generation of blaQ _does not work_ with Chamberlain openers with a *white* learn button! This is not a fault of Konnected, but rather the door opener's new security protocol (openers made in 2026) which has blocked all 3rd party APIs and bolt ons. Konnected's tech support has been great to work with and helped me out, but it's something to be aware of.
