My Recommendation

Cut open the outside bag (it's double bagged) at least 5-10 minutes before use in order to let any methane escape. I made the mistake of doing it days before use and when I did that the substrate lacked that certain magic moistness. However, I'm certain it's still top-grade substrate and that little extra moisture is negligible - especially if cover it and keep it in a nice humid place while it prepares for fruiting cornditions.
