The Metal Edge of a Rose
My biggest surprise came the very first time I smelled it. The first and most dominant association that appeared in my mind was simply… “rose oxide”! It is one of those rare materials whose name describes its smell almost perfectly.
With its dark, metallic and slightly green character it immediately brings to mind the sharp, living core of a rose rather than the soft petals. With its slightly metallic edge it somehow even brings to mind the thorns - the darker, sharper side of the rose.
Used in tiny traces it can transform a rose accord completely, adding brightness, realism and a surprisingly natural lychee-like freshness. A very powerful material that deserves respect and extremely careful dosing, but when used well it adds an unmistakable sparkle and life to floral compositions.

Absolutely stunning material!
Delina is one of my favorite perfumes of all time. If you're trying to create a fragrance with that same rose/lychee note, you need this! As soon as I smelled it I knew I needed a backup bottle. I appreciate that this is sold diluted because even still it's incredibly strong. Also, I have purchased from several suppliers and none of them are as good as Fraterworks, so thank you!

Bright and clean
Excellent alternative to the standard rose oxide. As described it has slightly more nuances of galbanum but it just feels more refined over all. I would happily use this variation in all circumstances,
