Kephalis is a rich woody and tobacco material that really holds its ground in a blend of lighter wood chemicals such as Iso E Super. Use it to add softness and velvety goodness to a wood accord, or simply use it alone for a more interesting take on amber wood than the classic patchouli ethanone family.

A deep, rich, wood note
This is a wood note I have been looking for. It's got a wonderful dry and astringent wood nose to it not unlike cedramber with a sweet musk/amber quality reminiscent of cashmeran.

Kephalis is a great ingredient. I'm experimenting with it in the context of tobacco and amber. It blends very well, and has amazing woody and herbal qualities. I find it creates a wonderful synergy with tobacco absolute, and I will try using it as a diffusive ingredient in conjunction with Iso E Super.
