AI Navigator with Halo Eye
I've had the AI Navigator for a month. The Halo Eye arrived last week. I have 10 rounds on the cart three of which had the LIDAR unit installed. This cart replaced a Zip Navigator. Likes: The AI Navigator has more manual speed granularity than the Zip. This is important if you're not using the remote. The Zip was either a little too slow or a little too fast for my walking gait. AI solves this. Great for walking with the cart under an umbrella. The AI is far more stable on uneven terrain due to the better weight distribution and rear anti-tip wheel extension. I really enjoy the Halo Eye feature. It rarely looses sight of me. Tracks and modulates speed very well even over uneven terrain. Much better than using the remote. More on that below. The cart's footprint when stowed is much smaller than the Zip. I don't need to remove the wheels (like I did on the Zip) to fit it in my car. The GPS works great. An iPhone requires cell service for the GPS to work. The AI GPS works everywhere. It will keep your score with basic stats as well. It would be great if this could integrate with the GHIN app to upload scores to GHIN directly. It doesn't so I keep score on my phone. It's quiet. The parking brake feature is great. Nits: My biggest complaint is the sensitivity of the left and right commands when using the remote control. The Zip remote sensitivity was just right. The AI remote is way too sensitive. It's very easy to overshoot the path you're trying to maintain. It's like a drunken sailor going down the fairway. Unlike the remote, the Halo Eye has no problem tracking me and maintaining a straight line. MGI should issue a software update to correct the remote control sensitivity. The geofencing feature has a protection zone that is so large it's useless. I used it for three holes and had to turn it off. It was affecting pace of play by preventing me from getting close to greens that had lot's of bunkering. Summary: I would buy the AI Navigator again with the Halo Eye Lidar. Without the Lidar I would be frustrated that the remote control was not as friendly as the Zip Navigator but I would appreciate the better granularity of walking speed control. The Halo Eye enables some other features such as go a selected point on the GPS map and come home to the location of the remote control. I haven't used these features yet so I have no idea if they are useful or gimmicks.

Cart works as advertised. Quiet and powerful. Easy to get use to remote after a couple of rounds. Don’t love the cup holder for water bottles.

Great caddy all in all. The only issue I have would be the geo protect is too sensitive and the caddy does not respond quick enough when trying to turn geo protect off using the remote to manually guide the caddy. If this were fixed in an update, then I would rate the caddy 5 stars.
