This is my second one. No, the first one isn't worn out; it has been used year-round for 4 or 5 years and I wanted a change of color! I don't use a top sheet and love the feel of the material against my skin and the way it just floats down (no pun intended) around me. I can't even guess at the number of times it's gone through the washer and dryer over these years and it still comes out soft and fluffy. I love the new look with the white border as it add a finished look to my bed since this is all that is on it. Ok, a cat or two is usually sleeping there but even their sharp nails have not ripped the original. This blanket is worth the money!
