The Willow Sewing Pattern

10/10 pattern! This is the first time I have made clothes and now I have made 3 variations of this! It’s such a good pattern. It’s easy to put together and everything is explained so clearly with brilliant explanations for everything, including how to alter the pieces to size. The pattern teaches you along the way and I never felt lost. The fit itself is relatively simple but the ties make it look so tailored. Truly a brilliant pattern, especially for people wanting to jump into clothes.

Great pattern for confident beginners! I've made the sleeveless version in both the mini and midi lengths and I'm obsessed with both. I love the scoop back, and also tried out the keyhole hack on the other which looks great. Super comfy and flowy :)

Super cute, great challenge for a beginner

This pattern gave me the chance to try some new techniques like darting, gathering, and adjusting pattern measurements. It was fun to sew and watch come together, and the perfect difficulty level for me as a confident beginner. I made the mini version in a red linen and I love it sooo much. I tie the sides loose when I want to be comfy, and tighter when I want to look more put together. I will definitely be making a few more of these dresses!
