Deck Boss 900

Love my new smoker!!

I am a 1st time pellet smoker owner and had researched several different brands and models before choosing Recteq. What influenced my decision were the reviews talking about how well built it was along with the ability to cook low & slow or sear. I have been thoroughly impressed by the deck boss 900 in the two weeks that I’ve owned it. We’ve done wings, burgers, ribeye and a brisket, with all of them coming out delicious!! Next up is ribs!!

Not my first pellet smoker

This is a great smoker! The pros 1- great smoker with quality components! 2- very easy to read display and app interface 3- this is one solidly built smoker! I expect it to last years! Cons 1- be prepared to work to put it together it comes well boxed but requires some skills 2- the app while is easy to use does not make profiles with preset changes as time or temperature triggers a change. It only lets you manually adjust temperature and gives readings of food temperature so you will have to listen for alerts and make changes manually. Hopefully as rec teq updates the app this will change! All this said this is one great smoker/grill. The temperature readings are within 1 degree of a know. Accurate measurement device so top notch components! Every single part of this is quality! I didn’t want to spend what I did on it but that said it was worth every penny!

Even an Offset Guy Approves

The Deck Boss 900 has earned its place in my backyard. It turns out great BBQ, holds temps like a champ, and lets me knock out yard work instead of tending a fire all day. My offset and the DB900 each have their time and purpose, and I’m glad to have both.
