Shiinamachi Station was inspired by the quiet charm of Japan's neighborhood train stations, places shaped not by grandeur, but by warmth, familiarity, and the rhythm of everyday life. Had exactly the same experience as the review by Wes. Model looks great but the wiring is fragile and fiddly. Got to the end and the circuit board for the signs at the top was faulty. Requested a new one and the replacement was faulty too. Then Anavrin wanted to charge me $10 to replace the replacement. Rude! I ended up soldering all the wires together to use the one working port on the board.
Having all the wiring in the base is a real problem. Anything goes wrong as you have to disassemble the model. The circuit boards are fragile - the ports actually fall off when you disconnect a cable.
It is Anavrin’s first foray into a block kit. It lacks finesse - seriously needs a redesign and better quality control. Anavrin could learn a thing or two from Lumibricks, whose sets are cheaper and much better designed.
Nice model but I wouldn’t buy another block set from Anavrin. Too expensive and disappointing customer support. Stick to the book nooks.

Absolutely love it! Completely different to my other Anarvrin builds, but so much fun to do. Perfectly designed, everything was in the box and came together really well.

Beautiful model but very fragile lighting and wiring. All lights worked when tested during the build. Unfortunately, the final lights to be be plugged in did not work (for the rooftop signs). I had to try and disassemble the model but couldn’t find the issue and had to request replacement lights and wires. Reinstalling the lights and wires will takes many hours.
