​Best suspension seat post design I could find. Rode it on rough roads and wash-board today on gravel bike ; It is a big help on mild washboard and usual rough pavement or kimerock roads; Bad wash-board still bears you up , as expected. Only tradeoff is weight - about a pound; it is well-made and looks like it will last; For smoothing out rough roads while gravel riding, I am willing to accept the extra weight
