Queen marking tool

I have only used it one time and I was not impressed. It is easier for me to use my fingers to pickup a queen and mark her. I could not hold the queen still with the marking tool. As a result, I got more of a smear than the dot of paint I prefer. It also might be useful if the hive is small and you don’t have to move a bunch of bees out of the way. I will give it another look but, I don’t think it will be a tool I will use often.

I’m surprised how well this works! Much faster than any other method I’ve tried. It’s the kind of tool that makes you say. . ”why didn’t I think of this!” This is easily, along with the blue marking pen Lorobbees sells, one of the best bee tools I’ve purchased!!
