I'm always looking for as-natural-as-possible hair and skin care products. I am a ginger, and have the sensitive skin, mouth, and scalp that goes along with it. I have extremely fine, but abundant, and LONG hair which is now greying. so there's the "wiry" look that goes with that stage of life. I was glad to see this kind of "shampoo". I am familiar with soap nuts since I had previously used them for my laundry, and was intrigued. I also purchased the herbal coconut oil as a preconditioner. This shampoo is more of a cleansing rinse; it is very liquid. However, it is very effective, especially after the herbal coconut oil preconditioner. One definite tip: Do not be in a hurry when using this; do not rush the suggested 5-10 minutes of this sitting in your hair, especially when using the oil preconditioners. Give this shampoo time for it to work its magic, or you will have very oily results (ask me how I know). I like this very much, when used correctly, it leaves just enough of the coconut oil in my hair to moisturize and leave it soft. I am going to try another variety of shampoo alternate with to see if I can find the magic combination to make my greys come to heel, and not be so wiry looking. I am looking forward to trying other hair products, and I also plan on getting a small Black Soap Silky shampoo for my husband to try for his long, thick, curly (Philippino) hair.

So fresh and hair feels so clean

This orange-tea tree shampoo is my new favorite for my hair. I have straight and on the thicker-side hair. I don’t know how to describe in exact words, but after I leave on as directed for about 5-10 mins, and then rinse, it feels as if my hair strands are stronger/strengthened. And it feels like it doesn’t strip my natural oils. It appears to clean away “just the right amount” of my natural styling products out without damaging my hair. I am a male in my late 40s, and for a couple of years prior to using this product I would notice small clumps of hair during my regular shampooing process. But since using this Uncle Harry’s soap nuts shampoo for several weeks, I literally have like one or two SINGLE strands of hair in my palm during washing. I seriously feel this product is strengthening my scalp and subsequently my hair follicles. I always trust nature to know best, that’s why I put my trust into Uncle Harry’s products. Thanks for doing the right thing and doing better as a business.
