Floating external snare system for cajon and CajonTab: birch

The difference was night and day!

I have a cajon with a built-in adjustable snare which I thought sounded fine; that was before I got the Louson external snare. I was unsure if adding the Louson snare would make much of a difference but I'm glad I gave it a shot. Now I can go from no snare, to adjusting the internal snare all the way to being fully engaged, or I can turn off the internal snare and add the Lawson external snare, which is louder and is all that I initially wanted. But it gets better. For extra smack, now I can also add the Louson external snare and adjust the internal snare to layer along with the Louson to get a totally different flavor since they both have their own unique tone. With the internal snare fully engaged and layered with the Louson, the snare really gets cracking! I now have a cajon with a snare(s) that can be tweeked to produces variety of tones and volume levels. It definitely exceeded my expectations! Build quality is excellent and it literally takes just a few seconds to put on and take off. Very nice, thank you!

Floating external cajon snare

What a fabulous addition to my cajon! This external snare adds a crisp clear snare sound that really cuts through the music of my band to bring a great time to the rhythm. And it's so easy to move out of the way when I want just the sound of the Vashon on ours own. Fantastic product!
