Benjamina Ficus

Filled out nicely after shipping. Dropping a few leaves but understand that's normal. Will be transplanting to permanent pot after I purchase pumice rock to mix with potting soil.

This little tree arrived around April 1 and has finally stopped dropping leaves, after losing more than half of them. Maybe because it moved from TX to OR while OR is still pretty cool? I followed the care instructions-- give it a rest, didn't re-pot it right away, no direct sunlight, soil moist (not wet), didn't fertilize until 3 months (almost) had gone by. I started giving it morning sun hours and low doses of indoor plant fertilizer two weeks ago and finally, finally, there is some new growth. The leaves that hadn't fallen away had started to look kind of dull and the fertilizer has helped those too. I'm hoping there will soon be new leaves on all those little naked stems at the bottom of the leaf area because there are a lot of them! The ficus tree might have only gotten a rating of 3 but .... OMG the Meyer Lemon trees I got at the same time are a solid and happy 5. I had full spectrum grow lamps on them while they had to be indoors to avoid cold nights, and I cross-pollinated them with a make-up brush. They are now a vibrant healthy green, each with a dozen or so baby lemons so far. The went outside 2 weeks ago and the bumble bees and hummingbirds love those flowers, so maybe there'll be more lemons? ❤️ Simply Trees sent my trees out promptly after ordering, they were well-packed for travel, and I'm happy with them as a company. Ficus are hard to grow - so picky about their environment - but this one seems to be doing better.

Tree care in very healthy shape and is adapting well to it's new environment. As advertised, as some branches really do reach 7ft.
