Flood icing

Yesterday was my first attempt and I didn’t read the directions right and I’m still working on my flood icing not going to lie. I feel like giving up sometimes. I bought meringue powder instead of trying your recipe.

Not sure if i did something wrong or what happened. But my cookies got rock hard after they cooled. Some got burnt 5min before the time was up, im wondering if i got these ones too thin?? But some i didn't think I got thin at all, and mixed everything to directions. So not sure what happened there. My frosting i will say I did not have a scale to use so I just guessed but it definitely was no easy to pipe or decorate at all. Did not seem as liquid as the videos showd. Did harden up some when left for a few hours and tasted ok. Definitely had better frosting. I tried adding more water and did not seem to help much. Sorry but was not too happy with these recipes

I admit, being a new cookier, I was so glad I didn’t really love the cookies I was baking for learning to decorate - now, I’m in trouble! These are SO delicious! The icing is so “soft” yet firms up perfectly and is also delicious! I’ve made my own meringue as well and I honestly can taste the difference! Such a good buy! Thank you so much for sharing!
