Cultural history

My family has been coming to the Gulf coast since the 1950s . The Tupelo Honey region near The Dead Lakes is part of the culture of the area called The Forgotten Coast , The Pandhandle etc . I grew up up in Thomasville Georgia 18 miles from the Florida line , so this South East Georgia / Northeast Florida culture is “ in my blood “. These 2 paintings help capture the “mood” of both nature and the people of the region. To me , this is the real Florida compared to artificial amusement parks or “ snowbird “ communities!
