It was a gift for a friend in Canada. She loves it

This was si special as it was very individual to my late Dad's world war 2 experience. He flew in Lancaster bombers. I absolutely loved the design and felt a real link to my Dad and was proud to wear this badge. Thanks you

my Lancaster pin was certainly unique to me in that no one else had ever seen one before or was even aware of such a carnation of the poppy version this year to commemorate the 80th year since the end of ww2. I have held an interest in ww2 aviation history for many years and possess I fairly extensive knowledge of this subject. My wife aquired the Lancaster edition for me by post and it really was a very pleasant surprise to receive it, it particularly resonated with me because just this summer a Lancaster bomber flew directly over our home in Bangor NI as part of the RAF memorial flight, by pure chance I had my phone in my hand and was immediately able to capture the low level flyby on video, others have since complimented me on the video outlining that they too had observed the aircraft however were not able to capture it on video. I shall retain this in my collection and wear in future it certainly draws attention.
