I did watch the D-Day invasion begin (Pin Badge to prove it). I watched the strange concrete boxes set off first - to form the Mulberry Harbour walls. To that harbour was delivered more troops, ammunition, and food. I remember 'Pluto' - Pipeline under the English Channel to deliver petrol to fuel our army's vehicles.
And, what happened secretly in the Bay of Biscay, that sent Hitler''s best troops to the wrong place for invading England. Our armies took the shortest and fastest route to invade the Germans in France. Good!
