Hi Vis Foam Assassin Ant (12 flies)

good fly--bluegill love it

I am in Phoenix and no trout are around this time of year, but the bluegill really like this fly. The fly holds up pretty well, but after 50 catches and a hundred or more strikes, it's time for a new one...see before and after photo.

These flies were highly attractive to panfish in late summer. Hit after hit.

The small black ants floated and provided sufficient temptation to get panfish to rise in morning as well as afternoon.

Great Fly at a Good Price

This is a nice ant pattern and the orange foam back is much easier to spot than an all black ant. Helpful for older people with less sharp vision, like me! I like the wings on this fly as they also help to make it stand out! I will use this on traditional fly rods as well as Tenkara!
