Not so comfy if you have a high instep

I have a pair of Alameda boots, which I love. That style was not available this year so I bought a pair of Lark. I have a high instep and these don't have enough room--the top of my foot feels squeezed. Not a problem with the Alameda style since they lace up. Wish they had the Alameda style available.
