Obsessed
I am obsessed with the design on the bag! This is the cutest thing I’ve seen on a bag of espresso beans (and I’ve consumed a lot of espresso)! The flavor is delicious and smooth as well. This is now a new favorite!

Would not describe as Medium Roast
When I first opened the bag, it seemed like the beans were much darker than the medium roast I would normally buy. I had a very difficult time dialing the grind in, and even after settling in on faster shots at a coarse grind and a lower ratio, the coffee was still coming out very bitter. The flavor is very burnt tasting rather than chocolatey, which may resonate more with people who enjoy dark roasts. I finally got an okay tasting latte (the milk helps cover some of the bitter), but even then there was still a lingering burnt taste on the backend that was just very unpleasant. I wouldn’t order this again—I was going to throw these away (which is something I would never normally do, I’ve powered myself through 5 lb bags of very mediocre coffee) but ended up giving them to my dad. He likes dark roast, and is making espresso that he enjoys with these.
Side note, I don’t really like that there is no roast date on the bag. I like to know that my coffee is fresh, so I avoid roasters who won’t put the date on the bag. It’s a very simple ask to hit the bag with a date gun label, and when a roaster won’t do even that it feels like they’re hiding the date.
