Nilgiri was new to me!

​I had never tried a Nilgiri before, and it was a pleasant surprise! I already love many of Harney's Assam and Darjeeling teas. This one had some of the same attributes, but was also subtly different and unique. It's definitely brisk, so you have to like that, but also very flavorful! Takes milk well.

Exactly as described: light, mellow tea really nice in the afternoon

I wanted to try something different from my standard go-to of Earl Grey, Russian Country, or Kenya Milima. I like strong black teas, but was looking for something I could enjoy in the afternoon without getting punched by the caffeine. I’m very caffeine sensitive & don’t drink coffee any longer. The caffeine in tea doesn’t hit me the same way. I’m confused at all the negative reviews of this tea because had the reviewers read the description— they’d have seen it’s not a strong tea. But, if you get the perfect cup, not too much milk, just a bit of sugar, it’s really spectacular. I don’t get much of a citrus flavor, but very subtle. It’s not a wake-up in the morning tea, but a mellow afternoon blend.
