Classic 24 - Handmade Watercolors Set

Fabulous A Gallo!

This is my third set of A Gallo and I want every color! I’m blown away by their stunning pigments and high quality. I’ve had fun swatching them and have been really pleased with the few small paintings I’ve done so far. This travel kit is absolutely lovely with three beautiful brushes, a very fine little sketchbook and nice teal case. I’m in love with everything AGallo and to me they are worth every penny. The customer service and shipping are also top notch.

Mixed feelings

For the price and premium item I was expecting more. The wrapping is very nice but also annoying because you have to dismantle the whole box to take off each paper wrap on every colour. The pigments are smooth and are good for very light watercolour style of painting. I like intensity and they are not as good as other artisanal pigments and paints I have bought in France and Switzerland. I also bought the Mid-Century Abstract colouring cards which annoyingly have A. Gallo's logo and website printed on the cards. The paintbrushes I bought however are very good.
